Whenever I go out without my camera, I find sooo many interesting subjects. Tonite after being home for the whole day, I decided to go to Starbuck's for a short Macchiatto. I was walking past the mall when I heard someone calling somewhat discretely but loud enough cause I was about 7 meters away and i heard her, obviously.

"Rizza, Rizza!" sshh, somewhat a whispering yell? If that even made sense.

It was tita Beth, as we call her. The only Filipina I talk to around here. About 15 years or more older, she was drinking coffee from a can. "Which puppy is that?" looking affectionately to my furbaby. This is Stacey, the firstborn___never mind that why are you drinking coffee from a can? Let's go up to Starbuck's." "Can I smoke there?" she asks, I made the duh-face.

We went up the elevated pedestrian, I got us a table near the exit,She settled down, I placed Stacey on a chair and wrapped her with my cardigan. It was a very hot and humid day now it looks like it's going to rain. I went in to get her an ash tray. She has this happy smile permanently pasted on her face like sweet Nana. She's not that old but she looks older than most women her age.

We talked a lot about her daughters. I was not able to attend coz it was one of the hardest times with my roomie. It was very touching, her stories about her daughter's wedding, her husband, how everyone has evolved and how we have changed too ourselves.

I met her in the Laundrymat, 12 years ago. My daughter and I just moved to a new apartment. We didn't have a washing machine yet. "Time flew so fast" she must have said this like ten times. She'S the one who gave me Buffy, they owned Donchan who's bereavement i blogged back at the old ship, now moved to multiply.

After talking a lot about the past and contemplating on the future, we headed home as it started to drizzle.
